| FAQs What does XsTrimmer do? XsTrimmer checks your universal binary files, pulls out the architecture binary code for your system and creates a Mach-O binary out of it. So you files become smaller and also run slightly faster. Also it removes unnecessary language files which you dont use. There are more universal binaries and language files in an application normally than you know of. Is it safe trimming an application like that? Yes it is for the majority of applications. But some applications with real hard copy protection and integrity checks, don't function properly or sometimes at all. This can be easily remedied by using one of XsTrimmer's backup methods. Why did you create this? I couldn't find a proper free program out there that does this. Maybe I didn't look hard enough. Also because I don't have a job. Why are you accepting donations? I wish I didn't have to but everything is money in the world today. Creating a program that just trimmed without the GUI wasn't too hard. Creating the special features, GUI, all the itsy bitsy things which we take granted in a program took me some time, had to read and research. Hey you have a free version! Yes I do! I do use free software and believe in that, so I tried to release a nice free version that does everything you need, what most other paid programs do. I really hope it helps you and the Mac community in general, they needed this. What?! This only run on older PowerPC macs? No Intel version? :'( I'm sorry, I was going to release a free version for the Intel platform too. I created a universal binary, mailed it to friends to test it but there were problems. I don't know anyone with a MacBook or Intel mac (yes i'm that lonely). I wish I could code at the Apple store, I will try. So If you feel generous which you are :-), please donate to support your fellow Intel mac brothers and sisters. I found some bugs! Yes yes please mail me with some info, and i'll fix it as soon as I can. There are small critters in the program which I haven't fixed. Will do as soon as possible.
